2010 Group A, South Africa vs. Uruguay Hotties


With the start of the 2010 World Cup upon us, I am thrilled to be reporting on the Group A hotties (France, Mexico, South Africa and Uruguay). This group makes the heart skip a beat or two!

In order to enjoy each player to the fullest, I am breaking Group A into two groups: South Africa vs. Uruguay and France vs. Mexico will follow.

We start with the South African and Uruguayan hotties. Unfortunately, there were more candidates in Uruguay, but South Africa doesn't disappoint with some noteworthy contenders.

Son of former player Pablo Floran, Diego was a promising tennis player in his youth, but then decided to follow his father's footsteps



South African: Peter Tsepo Masilela

Age: 26
Height: 5'9
Playing Position: Left back
Current Club: Maccabi Haifa


Uruguayan: Andres Scotti
Age: 34

Height: 5'11 1/2
Position: Defender

Current Club: Colo-Colo


South African: Matthew Booth
Age: 33
Height: 6'6
Playing Position: Center back
Current Club: Mamelodi Sundowns




Uruguayan: Fernando Muslera
Age: 23
Height: 6'3
Playing Position: Goalkeeper
Current Club: Lazio
Known to the Lazio fans as castorino, "little beaver."


South African: Bryce Moon
Age: 24
Height:5'9 1/2
Playing Position: Right back
Current Club: PAOK
Did not make the final South African team, but had to be included among the hotties


Uruguayan: Diego Lugano

Age: 29

Height: 6'2

Playing Position: Center back

Captain of the National Team

Uruguayan: Sebastian Abreu
Age: 33
Height: 6'4
Playing Position: Striker
Current Club: Botafogo
Best known for his nickname, El Loco, and for playing for more than 20 teams in six different countries
