Group C Hotties: The Republic of Algeria

Algeria's debut against Slovenia did not produce a win for the North African team, but if you watched the game, you saw that they're a team to be reckoned with. Since the 1980's, the team has not made the World Cup Finals but that may change with the 2010 team. In preparation for Algeria's game against England tomorrow, the pressure is on for Faouzi Chaouchi, the 6'4 Goalie who some claim, made a similiar error to England's Robert Green. The team's charismatic and notable Goalie will be looking to redeem himself, but so will England's Greenie. Stay tuned!

French-born Karim, currently plays for Germany's Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He is considered a national hero in Algeria and credited for getting the team to the World Cup.

Karim has a twin sister named Karima

In 2009 he left his Marseille French team to join Germany's Wolfsburg for a 7 million euro transfer. "His professional ascent has been a steady climb." Karim is married and has two children. Not surprising he's taken, but during the games, let's pretend he's single!

Age: 24, Height: 6'0

French-born Carl currently plays for French team AC Ajaccio.

He started his professional career as a teenager in 2003 but caused some controversy for leaving his French team in favor of Liverpool.

Forward: Abdelkader Ghezzal
Age: 25, Height: 6'1
Squad #: 18

Currently playing for Italian club A.C.Siena. Per Ghezzal, " We will not be easy to beat for any opponent. The unity of this group is incredible and after what we went through in Cairo (their team bus was attacked by Egyptians), we feel as though nothing bad can hurt us."

Midfielder: Medhi Lacen

Age: 28, Height: 5'9

Also French-born, Medhi left his French teams in 2005 and is currently playing

for Spain's Racing Santander
